Calyer comes from the team behind Anella, St. Vitus and Jimmy’s Diner in Brooklyn. If Anella and St. Vitus had an offspring, Calyer would be its wayward child. The restaurant sits on the south end of Franklin St., at the crossroads of Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
The menu is based in Spanish cuisine, but that is its jumping-off point. Chef Gabriel Moya and his culinary team have chosen to eschew conventional boundaries and borrow from a variety of culinary traditions while at the same time exploring and creating new flavors, textures, styles and cooking techniques. The kitchen is their playground.
The philosophy behind Calyer is all about creating good food and having fun with it, and this is the message we want to convey though our menu, our service and our environment.
Calyer is a place where you can simply hang out and drink, or grab a serious bite to eat.
